Help Scooter Recover from Emergency Surgery

I’m reaching out to share the misadventures of my furry buddy, Scooter, who recently proved that his appetite isn't exactly normal—and that vet bills can skyrocket in the blink of an eye.

Scooter, my 1-year-old pup, has always had a knack for thievery and a penchant for eating things that aren't food. Over the holidays, he decided that a mix of clothing, a chew toy, and sticks would make the perfect snack. Before I knew it, Scooter wasn’t his normal bouncy self, and I rushed him to the vet.

After an emergency surgery to remove his unusual “menu,” Scooter, is on the mend, and I’m grateful beyond words that he’s going to be okay. However, the surgery, aftercare, and medications came with a hefty $7,000 price tag. As much as I’d like to handle this on my own, it’s more than I can manage right now.

Scooter is more than just a dog; he’s my best friend, my cuddle buddy, and my daily source of laughter (and occasional exasperation). Whether he’s sneaking an extra snack or dragging me out of bed to go play, he’s brought so much joy to my life.
