Hello family, friends , animal lovers. Last night we received the difficult news , that Scooby's departure day to heaven can be any day now , max 6 more months of life. We had rushed him to the ER after witnessing his collapse and heart stoping. Scooby started about a week ago experiencing episodes of "partial faint" where he was becoming very weak and looking slightly daze , before being able to get up again. We didn't actually witness it until last night. Last week when we found him in bed laying by his bowel movement , we thought because of his arthritis on his left leg he wasn't able to get up in time, but after last night we now know that is not the case. His heart rate is beating too fast, he was diagnosed with suspect dilatory cardiomyopathy. We have scheduled a visit to the cardiologist , starting price of $500. Just last night we spent $500. We are asking for donations to keep Scooby alive a littler longer, he is a happy dog who has not given up. Being that his heart can stop at any time , the donations will also be for burial services at a pet cemetery , he will not be cremated since Scooby does not like fire ( scared of fireplace at home). We need the funds as soon as possible, since we have scheduled visits with on the spot fees as well since we do not know Scooby's actual depart day to heaven.Scooby means so much to my family, he is the dog my mother always dreamed of having as a child. On February 14,2010 we met this beautiful Scooby or "Chubby" as my brothers call him. We drove 17 hours from Pennsylvania to Iowa. We are very happy we celebrated his 9th birthday this past December as usual. He is the "spoiled baby" of the house. We are thankful for any donations during this difficult time. We thank you in advance.
