On Friday, May 30th, Scoby suffered a horrible reaction to a common medication. We later discovered that she likely has a double MRD1 gene, making her extremely susceptible to small doses of even the most common drugs. She is expected to make a full recovery, but it's a slow process, likely requiring 2 weeks of hospitalization.

Scoby is dearly missed at home right now. She is our best friend and companion. All of the kids, but especially Sara are extremely attached to her. She is Sara's best friend and as soon as Sara wakes up in the morning she loves to run downstairs to give Scoby a treat.

Scoby is also a best friend to many of the pups we take care of daily in our home. It's eerily quiet around her without her and the other pups have been searching the house for her. They've been getting extra cuddles while she recovers.

Unfortunately, bills are piling on quickly at around $4,000 per day (we're already at $18,000 of hospital fees). At this point it has become an expensive waiting game. Money is already extremely tight for our family of 6. Please help support Scoby in making a full recovery. We miss her so much ❤️
