Help Scix with a safer commute

Scix Maddix has given incredible service to the Salt Lake Arts community. A Navy Veteran, Scix has made space for artists for underserved communities to tell their stories and express themselves.

Currently, Scix works as an assistant manager at The Alliance Theatre in Trolley Square and helps operate the Artistic Underground open mic.

Scix doesn't have a car or drivers lisence and so commutes by E-scooter often at night and in the Salt Lake Snow and Ice. This December, Scix has crashed on the scooter twice, leaving them with injuries.

I hope we can come together as artists and lovers of the arts to help Scix with a safer commute via E-bike. Scix cannot currently afford to buy or finance a e-bike though and so they are left in a catch 22. Needing to commute to work to afford commuting to work.

I took Scix to Salt Lake E-Bikes to find a bike that would be safe and comfortable and easy to ride. The bike we found cost $3750, but Salt Lake E-bikes has a Christmas sale where all bikes are 1/2 off, making the total cost of the bike $1875.

I'm asking that we show Scix some financial support for the service they've done for all of us through the years. Let's help keep Scix safe for Christmas!
