Scix Maddix (they/them) is a local author, performer, producer, and philanthropist in Salt Lake City, Utah. They have spent the last 15 years supporting everyone they meet in the Utah area. From training scary monsters at Fear Factory to publishing four books and producing Utah's premier Weirdo Revue, Gonzo Rising, they have paved a road for the Salt Lake City outliers who need a heart to call home. Now, with their grace, I am calling on Salt Lake City and others to give back to a person who has never said no to a hand in need.

On November 7th, 2025, Scix suffered a medical emergency that required them to receive CPR. They arrived at the hospital in a coma which they have thankfully woken up from. While their recovery is miles ahead of the original prognosis, there is still a long road ahead. Scix will be transferring from the hospital to a Skilled Nursing Facility, or SNF, to continue recovery. While they are healing, they are unable to work and thus bills are going unpaid and expenses are piling up.

I am setting the initial goal at $5,000. This will help cover immediate bills as well as put some savings aside so when they are able to be in the free world again they can ease back into work instead of having to panic about money. I would love to see this goal met and even exceeded.

Scix is one of the most giving humans I have ever met. This is going to be a hard recovery, but with our love, support, and financial assistance, we can work together to make the journey even smoother.
