Hello my name is Monique Martin, a fellow Cleveland Metropolitan School District teacher . On Wednesday my coworker and I were headed out on our lunch break to discover that some of the staff members cars (hers being 1) had their windows busted out and had been broken into. Luckily at our school there were only 2 cars broken into. We then discovered this unfortunate event of busted windows and cars being broken into had occurred at multiple schools in our teaching area. We all know it is a burden, time consuming and just makes you feel down when someone violates you and destroys something that you have worked hard for. In our school district when things like this happen, staff members are left to pick up the pieces, figure out where they're going to get the money from, and where they are going to go to get it fixed. Staff members also wonder if this going to happen again! School staff should not have to go through unfortunate events like this ,especially at this time of the year when they are just trying to do their jobs and educate the students .
