Hi! My name is Paige, and this is my sweet girl, Schnitzel. I adopted her from Angel City Pitbulls in June 2024 after saying goodbye to my beloved 17-year-old dog, Morty. Schnitzel has been an absolute ray of sunshine—she adores everyone she meets, especially kids and babies, and brings so much joy to my life.

Unfortunately, last weekend, Schnitzel suddenly became very sick. She began vomiting and having diarrhea—sometimes with blood—which led to multiple emergency vet visits. We’ve already accumulated over $6,000 (as of June 20th) in vet bills as we work to find out what’s wrong. Right now, she’s undergoing testing for Addison’s Disease.

As a high school teacher living on a single income in Los Angeles, this has been a major financial strain. I’ve also been dealing with my own health issues recently, which have led to high medical bills and lost income due to exhausted sick leave. To pay for Schnitzel’s care, I’ve had to max out my credit card.
