Hey friends,

Today we found a paralysis tick embedded in Schnitzel’s side. Despite being in obvious shock and pain, he’s still trying his absolute best to be his happy, brave self, which breaks my heart even more.

The vet has confirmed that his symptoms are rated a 3 out of 4, meaning his condition is severe and requires urgent, intensive care. I’ve been faced with an unthinkable choice: say goodbye to my best friend of 9 years, or find $6,000 for the treatment that will give him the chance to recover and continue his life with us in our new home.

As hard as this is to share, I’m asking for help. I’m aiming to raise $1,500 to cover part of his emergency treatment, medication, and ongoing care, so I can give Schnitzel every possible chance to heal and feel safe and comfortable again.

Schnitzel isn’t just a pet, he’s family, my constant companion, and my little source of joy through so many chapters of my life. Any contribution, no matter how small, or even just sharing this fundraiser, would mean the world to me.
