Help Scherre’s family be there to support her

Those that know Scherre and her beautiful family may know of the rough couple of years they have had. In 2020 as the world was being shut down from COVID, Scherre suffered a catastrophic heart attack while at home. Luckily Adam and Jess were quickly at hand and at only 15 yrs old Jess performed CPR on her mum till paramedics arrived. After 5 weeks in hospital and an ABI unit she came home. The following 18mths were filled with further tests, 2 more stints (1 which also nearly killed her) and keeping on top of her Arthritis. She began to feel a bit more like herself and even returned to work.
Unfortunately at the beginning of 2023 she began to go down hill again. After many more tests it was determined that her degenerative heart condition that caused the initial heart attack was getting worse again despite having 2 more stints done after the original Heart Attack. In January this year she underwent double bypass surgery. This is a big operation for anyone, but for Scherre, everytime she has something like this it plays up with her Arthritis.
Only 6 weeks post op she was getting severe abdominal pain. She finally went and got this checked and had an ultra sound and found that she had acute Appendicitis. She was admitted and had her Appendix removed the next day. During the operation they found a tumour inside her Appendix. Even though they are not classing it as cancer the tumours act in much the same way. Scherre is now faced with one of the biggest fights to date, and she has had a few…..
In a couple of short weeks she has to undergo major surgery to remove other organs that have been effected by this tumour. The operation is called Cytoreductive Surgery. Essentially she will have about 20% of her bowel removed, full hysterectomy, colon, part of her stomach and possibly her spleen. She will receive what they call Hot Chemo during surgery and if all goes well hopefully no further Chemo.
As you can imagine this is a big thing to be facing and the last couple of years have put significant financial stress on them. In true Scherre style though, if you have seen her out and about, I am sure you would have received that same beautiful smile she always has. I would love to raise enough money so they can be together as a family while she is in hospital in Melbourne and help substitute Adams wage while he can’t work to look after Scherre. They are a beautiful family that never like to ask for help, even after going through all of this. This is why I would love to be able to help them be together during this time. I know there are a lot of people out there that would also like to help them. If you can donate in anyway that works for your situation it would be very much appreciated.
