Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

I’m reaching out today with a heavy heart and a deep sense of gratitude for your consideration and support. My incredible mother, Schannell, has always been the light in every room she enters, a force of positivity, kindness, and selflessness. Whether it was lending an ear, offering a shoulder to lean on, or lighting up a room with her laughter, she has been there for everyone — no matter the circumstance. But now, my mother needs us more than ever before.

Recently, my mother suffered a massive blood clot that stretched through both of her lungs. This clot caused a devastating cardiac arrest that ultimately resulted in severe brain damage. Her life as we knew it has changed in an instant, and she is now facing a long, difficult road ahead. The severity of her brain injury means that she will require 24/7 care for atleast 6months to a year. Along with further post rehab care.

As many of you know, my mom is the kind of person who would give her last penny to help someone else, who could brighten anyone's day with her energy and laughter, and who never hesitated to step in and support those in need. She is truly a selfless soul — the life of every gathering, the person you could always count on in times of darkness. She has been that beacon of hope for so many, and now it is our turn to be that light for her.

The road to her recovery, while uncertain, will be long and full of challenges. We are seeking support to help with her extensive medical care, which includes around-the-clock nursing, therapies, and specialized equipment. My family is committed to doing everything we can to ensure my mom has the best care possible, but the costs of these services are overwhelming.

Any donation, big or small, will go directly toward her care and treatment, and help relieve the financial burden on our family as we navigate this new chapter in our lives. Your support will give my mom the best chance to live a life that’s as fulfilling as possible, despite the challenges she now faces.
