On Friday, August 7, Scenic City Golf Carts was devastated by sudden flash flooding that swept through our property. In a matter of minutes, the floodwaters overtook our lot, destroying our golf carts, equipment, and essentially everything we had worked to build.

The flooding became extremely dangerous, and one of our employees was caught in the rushing water. Chris had to pull him to safety, dislocating his shoulder in the process. We are incredibly thankful that everyone made it out safely. As devastating as the loss of our business is, we know this situation could have ended very differently.

Unfortunately, after having our insurance policy reviewed, we learned that the flood damage is not covered. We are now facing hundreds of thousands of dollars in losses and the overwhelming task of figuring out how to recover and rebuild.

Scenic City Golf Carts is a locally owned small business, and this business represents so much more than the inventory that was lost. It represents years of hard work, our employees and their livelihoods, our customers, and the community that has supported us.

We are asking for help as we begin recovering from this disaster. Donations will go toward cleanup and recovery expenses, supporting our employees, replacing lost inventory and equipment, and helping Scenic City Golf Carts get back on its feet.
