I’m Scarlett, a trans woman from Philadelphia. I have been pursuing bottom surgery for a few years and last April was forced to leave my parent’s home after my surgery was scheduled for February 2026. Having to financially support myself only a couple years out of college and staring down recovery with less support and more costs than anticipated has made the financial aspect of my surgery tighter than is comfortable.

Having already spent thousands on electrolysis, surgical prep like PT, psych appointments, and some recovery supplies, I’m facing a hospital bill of about $5000 and a $2500 hotel stay for the first couple weeks of recovery, not to mention the supplies I will still need in addition to my rent, food, and other living expenses while I am unable to work for 3 months. Any help is greatly appreciated!
