Help Scarlett recover from being scammed!

Thank you for taking the time to consider donating toward the recovery of the financial loss of one of our beloved matriarchs.

Since approximately March of 2021, Scarlett Vasquez has fallen prey to financial predators who have used emails, text messages, Google hangouts, facebook messenger, and other messaging services like WhatsApp to pose as love interests or adopted children. There are records of messages that elicit funds with promises of companionship or fabricated stories of financial need from family members that don’t exist. Records indicate that our dear mom would purchase prepaid gift cards, withdraw money from her retirement and use wire transfers to maintain relationships with multiple predators. As of August, 2021 she has lost nearly $100,000.

In addition to being scammed out of her retirement, she has also neglected to pay bills on time and has, in some cases, made multiple payments to the same lender without realizing what she was doing.

Our family is working to contact lenders, cancel plans, end subscriptions, freeze accounts and find a suitable pathway into this next season of her life that would honor her legacy and, ultimately, bring fame to a God who has greater plan for us all than we can presently comprehend.
