Hi! My name is Crystal and this is my 1-year-old rescue baby, Scarlett! She has so much personality and loves to play hide and go seek and watch TV with me. She's waiting for me at the door when I get home from work and won't stop talking to me, and I wouldn't have it any other way . I feel terrible that she went through hell before I rescued her.

And I feel even more terrible because 2 days ago, I came home and my ex-fiancé beat her so bad he dislocated her jaw, broke her tail, and threw her around my apartment like it was fun for him. I have it all on camera. My poor baby, I was so scared for her and myself. We just hid in my bedroom until he left. That's when I went to the hospital, and in total, it would cost between $1125-1859. I couldn't believe it, but that's where we are at.

I went to animal control as well to report it, and they saw the video and were in tears. I could not believe another human being can have so little value for her life like that. Animal control told me that if she's not better by Tuesday when they come to see her, they're going to have to take her, and that means they will put her down because if it's left untreated, she will be suffering. I feel so guilty. She deserves to be the happy, playful, full-of-life kitty that she is, and she does more for me than I could express with words. She's my baby, and I'm in tears, and I feel helpless because I can't pay it right now, and I have a time limit. So, I'm hoping my fellow fur parents can help me in any way possible. I would be so grateful.

And I'm taking the necessary action to make sure that Scarlett gets justice for this. If it were my way, I would have the same thing done to him that he did to her, plus more. Total POS for taking advantage of a small innocent animal.
