Hello everyone, this is Saylor. My family and I rescued her in August of 2022, and she has been the smartest, silliest girl since. Recently, we learned that Saylor is suffering from severe hip dysplasia in her right hip and shows signs of early hip displacement/dysplasia in her left hip.
This has put her in so much pain that she is unable to jump onto her favorite place, the couch…
…or her favorite place to look out the window…
She has pain when greeting people because she gets too excited when giving them the best greeting a dog can give…
…can’t roll onto her back to take her fabulous mid-day naps...
...Can't play...
...and worst of all, she can't run.
She has helped my family through many difficult times, specifically my mom. My mom has been fighting a very difficult battle with various health issues, including chronic pain caused by fibromyalgia and nerve pain caused by failed back surgery syndrome. Saylor has acted as a crutch for my mom through these difficult times, and it has been particularly hard for her to see Saylor in pain. My mom has been unable to work due to the many ups and downs in her pain, which has left us in a difficult place financially as it has been a struggle to get disability help.
Saylor has already been through a lot in her life. We got her knowing she had been a stray living on the streets, was previously bred at around a year old, and tested positive for heartworm. Through lots of patience and hard work, she fully recovered from heartworm and has been living a happy and healthy life until now.
My animals have always meant so much to me, and I don’t know where I would be without them. I only want to give back to her what she has given to me. All donations will go directly to Saylor's vet bills. Thank you for your help.
