Help Sayda Fight Stage 4 Cancer – Support Her Healing

Hi, my name is Sayda Ayala, and I’m sharing my story with a heart full of hope, faith, and courage. I am currently battling Stage 4 Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma (ACC) — a rare and aggressive cancer that began in my Lacrimal Gland November 2018, Retuned in November 2023 in the salivary gland and has now spread to my lungs.

This is my second time fighting cancer. It’s been a journey full of pain, faith, and resilience. I am a mother of four beautiful children who are my world. Everything I do — I do for them. This fight is not just for me, it’s for the chance to watch them grow up, graduate, chase their dreams, their weddings, watch them do greater things in life that I ever did and continue to feel their mother’s love every step of the way.

ACC does not respond well to traditional chemotherapy or radiation and due to how rare it is, treatment options are extremely limited and costly. I’ve been offered a place in a clinical trial, which gives me new hope — but comes with financial challenges:

• Travel and lodging for treatments

• Medical expenses not covered by insurance

• Supportive therapies

• Basic living costs while I’m unable to work

This illness has not only affected my body but also our family financially, emotionally, and mentally. I am also dealing with , Lupus, RA and due to my condition, my children have spent most of their time indoors, Still, we keep going — I am also fighting an unjust legal battle I am not able to discuss the matter publicly per court order, despite the retaliation and financial burden this situation also place on my family and myself we continue with love, strength, and prayer.

Hola, mi nombre es Sayda Ayala y comparto mi historia con un corazón lleno de Esperanza, Fe y Valentia Actualmente estoy luchando contra un Carcinoma Adenoide Quístico (ACC) en etapa 4 — un cáncer raro y agresivo que comenzó en mi glándula lagrimal en noviembre de 2018, regresó en noviembre de 2023 en la glándula salival y ahora se ha extendido a mis pulmones.

Esta es la segunda vez que lucho contra el cáncer. Ha sido un camino lleno de Dolor, Fe y Resiliencia. Soy madre de cuatro hermosos hijos que son mi mundo. Todo lo que hago — lo hago por ellos. Esta lucha no es solo por mí, es por la oportunidad de verlos crecer, graduarse, perseguir sus sueños, verlos casarse, verlos lograr cosas más grandes de las que yo logré y que sigan sintiendo el amor de su madre en cada paso del camino.

El ACC no responde bien a la quimioterapia ni a la radiación tradicionales y, debido a lo raro que es, las opciones de tratamiento son extremadamente limitadas y costosas. Me han ofrecido un lugar en un ensayo clínico, lo que me da nueva esperanza — pero también trae desafíos financieros:

• Viajes y alojamiento para los tratamientos

• Gastos médicos no cubiertos por el seguro

• Terapias de apoyo

• Costos básicos de vida mientras no puedo trabajar

Esta enfermedad no solo ha afectado mi cuerpo, sino también a nuestra familia en lo Financiero, Emocional y Mental. También estoy lidiando con Lupus, Artritis Reumatoide y, debido a mi condición, mis hijos han pasado la mayor parte del tiempo en casa. Aun así, seguimos adelante — también estoy enfrentando una batalla Legal Injusta que no puedo discutir públicamente por orden judicial. A pesar de la Represalia y la carga financiera que esta situación también ha puesto sobre mi familia y sobre mí, seguimos adelante con Amor, Fuerza y Oracion.
