Help say goodbye to Tom McCarthy properly

Tom McCarthy passed away on 03 November 2020. If you knew Tom, you knew he was a fighter in every positive sense of the word! Tom was and always will be an icon in New Haven County EMS and Fire. He was a mentor to many that went through the New Haven Sponsor Hospital EMS Programs, a preceptor to many of us as well, he was a Medic that you wanted taking care of yourself and your family members knowing you would be in great hands. Tom spent many years with the West Haven Fire Department as well. 
Outside of his work, Tom was noted for his love for both martial arts and bowling. In true McCarthy fashion, he was a quiet leader and mentor in both those arenas as well. Most importantly Tom was a father and grandfather. His love for his son Pat, his family and his friends was never questioned! 
Unfortunately, due to extenuating circumstances, Pat has been unable to give his father the proper goodbye here in Connecticut that he, his family, friends deserve. This GoFundMe is to help Pat with expenses for a wake at West Haven Funeral Home for his dad. To be able to see the lives that his dad touched, the people that he mentored will help Pat with the grieving process and it will give Tom the goodbye that he so rightly deserves!
