Help support Saxton in his fight
Some heavy news has come our way and while this is the first challenge we are going to face as a team it will likely not be the last. But in a journey that will be filled with up’s and down’s, the news shared with you today by our very own #2, Saxton Dunlap, shows that sometimes our battles go outside the lacrosse lines are very, very serious. In those moments, our bond as teammates and as a community is essential to supporting each other to overcome all challenges.
Saxton Dunlap is a young student who is starting his first round of chemotherapy due to battling Hodgkin Lymphoma. He and his family will need our support to help encourage them to push through these tough times. This GoFundMe is set-up for Saxton in order to help pay for some of these medical needs and expenses. Anything you can donate will be greatly appreciated as we thank you for your time and support.
Hey guys it's Saxton Dunlap, it’s time I inform you guys of my terrible summer. I’ve been dealing some pretty awful symptoms from about May to now and the doctors found out I have Hodgkin Lymphoma. As scary as it sounds, it one of the most curable cancers and they caught it quick.
I’m staying strong and I’m going to get through this, there is no doubt in my mind. I will be on a 6-month journey of chemotherapy and I have lost a lot of my strength and weight because of the cancer, but just like any bad injury, I will have to work hard to get all that back and trust me I will.
So I can focus on my treatment, I have worked it out with Coach B and the school to push my entry date back to fall of 2021, which will allow me time to beat my cancer and train and gain my weight back and become better than ever.I am as committed to Webber Lacrosse now as I have ever been, and I know you guys are there to support me. It beats me up on the inside that I won’t be there on the field with you guys this year, but I know you guys are going to do big things and I will try to be there when I can.

As his mom has been furloughed since May and is not looking to return to work till September, which she is ok with, there are no secrets here since that went out the door when we got the news about Saxton.
