Help Savoy celebrate 81 years!

Savoy Opera Company is a not-for-profit theatre organisation, presenting mainly Gilbert and Sullivan operas, but occasionally branching out into other light opera. We perform across Regional Victoria, taking two shows per year to various regional locations.

Founded in 1943 and having weathered the ups and downs of the mid to late 20th Century and the new challenges of the 21st (including the disruptions of the pandemic), Savoy just turned 81!

Sadly, a number of costumes, props and set pieces- including some brought into the company back in 1943- have not come through the decades unscathed.

We are asking for donations to help us refurbish our precious existing costumes, and potentially allow us to expand our props and scenery.

Additionally, to celebrate our 81st birthday, we are hoping to develop a commemorative program, full of photos and tales from the last 81 years, to share the history of our company with the audiences who have supported us across the years.

Please help this historical opera company to celebrate 81 years, and prepare for another 81 years of bringing music and performance to Victorian audiences.
