Save Susie's house - Un aiuto per salvare la casa di Susy

Good morning.

I am writing this story for Susie, because she cannot do it. Susie is a wonderful autistic girl, with a huge heart and many dreams. It’s just Susie and I, alone in the world. Our life has not been easy, even though she always had everything she needed.

Until now I managed to get by, saving every cent, then the trade unions have deceived me, making me lose everything that I had accumulated in so many years and with so much effort and now we are practically broke. I can’t work because of health problems and especially because Susan only attends the day center two days a week. I’m skipping meals (just me, not Susie), to save money, but it's not enough.

Our big problem is that they decided to do some work in our condominium. Our share to pay would be about 40.000€, to be paid in few installments. Money I obviously don’t have. The consequence of not paying is the foreclosure of our house, purchased by my parents with sacrifices you can not even imagine. But under Italian law it does not matter if a disabled person lives in the house. We’d still be thrown in the middle of a road.

I have asked all the institutions for help. To anyone I knew, but I only found closed doors, so I decided to try this last chance. Last, because I no longer have the strength to fight.

If there is someone who can give us a hand, even just sharing this fundraiser, so that Susie and I will not lose our house, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Every single cent counts, to enable us to live, not in luxury, but with dignity, saving our home. I would like to see my daughter quiet and carefree again, as she appears in the cover photo.

Buongiorno

Sto scrivendo questa storia per Susy, perché lei non può farlo. Susy è una stupenda ragazza autistica, con un cuore immenso e tanti sogni da realizzare. Siamo solo io e Susy, sole al mondo. La nostra vita non è stata facile, anche se lei ha sempre avuto tutto ciò di cui aveva bisogno.

Fino ad ora sono riuscita a cavarmela, risparmiando ogni centesimo, poi i sindacati mi hanno imbrogliata, facendomi perdere tutto ciò che avevo accumulato in tanti anni e con tanta fatica e adesso siamo praticamente sul lastrico. Io non posso lavorare a causa di problemi di salute, ma soprattutto per il fatto che tengono Susy al centro diurno soltanto due giorni a settimana. Sto saltando i pasti (solo io, non Susy), per risparmiare soldi, ma non basta.

Il nostro grande problema è che hanno deciso di fare dei lavori importanti nel nostro condominio. La nostra quota da pagare sarebbe di circa 40.000€, da pagare in pochissime rate. Soldi che ovviamente io non ho. La conseguenza del non pagare è il pignoramento della casa, comprata dai miei genitori con sacrifici che non potete neanche immaginare. Ma per la legge italiana non importa se c’è una persona disabile. Ci sbatterebbero comunque in mezzo ad una strada.

Ho chiesto aiuto a tutte le istituzioni. A tutte le persone che conosco, ma ho solo trovato porte chiuse, quindi ho deciso di tentare questa ultima possibilità. L’ultima, perché non ho più la forza di combattere.

Se c’è qualcuno che può darci una mano, anche solo condividendo questa racoolta fondi, in modo che io e Susy non corriamo il rischio di perdere la casa, vi ringrazio dal profondo del mio cuore. Ogni singolo centesimo conta, per permetterci di vivere, non nel lusso, ma decentemente, salvando la nostra dimora. Vorrei vedere di nuovo mia figlia tranquilla e serena, come appare nella foto di copertina.
