Help saving Shaat family lives in Gaza

Dear friends,

We are reaching out to you to support the evacuation of my family in Gaza. The war on Gaza is beyond catastrophic forcing my family to be displaced many times over the past 6 months. My family’s home in Gaza City, a home that housed many generations, has been destroyed. They were nearly killed by bombs and shellings on multiple occasions, and they miraculously survived.

Please help us reach our goal of $20,000 to help evacuate my cousins, my aunt, & my aunt’s husband, a total of 4 people. The funds raised will help cover the costs of their evacuation to and resettlement in Egypt. Your financial support no matter how small, means the world and will get us one step closer to securing my family safety in the midst of the unrelenting bombardment in addition to the daily struggles they face to find food and shetler for basic survival.

It is extremely challenging to get out of Gaza and is how you can help. Financial support is a key component. The journey to Egypt is treacherous despite it being a few miles away. The border crossing is hard because everyone waits 9 hours at the border crossing before being allowed transit after waiting days to be approved to cross by Egyptian authorities.

In addition to getting my family to safety, we are hoping there will be enough money raised to help support my family start to reassemble their lives, including basic items like shelter, food and medical care.
