Help saving Jessica's life
Donation protected
Five years ago Natallie and me became friends with Jessica in Guatemala.
Jessica is 31 years old and was born and raised in a small fishertown called livingston where she raises her kids. She lives in a small place with her husband Carlos, who works as a fisher, her 15year old daughter Lily and her 7year old son Oti, who both go to school. She recently lost her job as a cook and cleaning lady. She had held the job for 11 years but the hostel she was working for shut down.
Four months ago she contacted us to let us know that she got diagnosed with a tumor behind her eye. The tumor is causing her eye to push out of the socket. She was asking for help because since she lost her work, she can't even afford the boatride to visit the doctor.
I went down to Guatemala to see some doctors with her. We made an MRI and saw a doctor who could do the surgery. But the surgery, the stay in the hospital and the aftercontrols cost 20'000 dollars. Way too much for Jessica and her husband and even too much for us to get together by ourselves.
That's why we ask you for your help. Every little donation can help to make Jessica's surgery possible. Without it Jessica will first lose her eyelight, then her eye and eventually her life.
So we ask you for support to safe our friends life.
We will make an Instagram account so you can follow the progress. As soon as we got the money, we will go to Guatemala to support Jessica and her family during the surgery.
