Sixteen-year-old Saverio Loria has spent nearly his entire life on the mats.
Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, Saverio began training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at just 3 years old. For 13 years, he has poured his heart into the sport. Building discipline, resilience, and a relentless work ethic.
In that time, he has dominated the local scene across the Pacific Northwest.
Now, in his final year as a juvenile competitor, Saverio is ready to test himself on the biggest stages in the sport. Competing against the best young athletes in North America and the world.
His 2026 Competition Schedule:
March 28 – ADCC Open – Phoenix, Arizona
April 17 – ADCC West Coast Trials – Los Angeles, California
June 25 – IBJJF American Nationals – Las Vegas, Nevada
August 9 – ADCC Youth World Championship – Austin, Texas
September 3 – IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Con – Las Vegas, Nevada
These are not small tournaments. They are elite level events that bring together the most talented grapplers in the sport.
Each one represents an opportunity for Saverio to prove himself against the best, and to represent Vancouver and Canada with pride.
But competing at this level comes with significant costs.
Flights, accommodations, recovery, and preparation camps quickly add up. Especially with a demanding international schedule like this.
Saverio trains before school. After school. On weekends. While most teenagers are still discovering what they love, he has already committed over a decade to mastering his craft.
He is not just chasing medals. He is chasing growth, experience, and the chance to step onto the world stage knowing he gave everything he had.
This is his final year competing as a juvenile. It’s a pivotal moment before moving into the Adult division full time and we want to give him every opportunity to compete fully prepared and fully supported.

No amount is too small. Every contribution moves him one step closer to those mats.
Most importantly, your support tells Saverio that his community believes in him.
If you’ve ever believed in hard work, dedication, and chasing big dreams, this is a young athlete who embodies all three.
Let’s help him step onto the biggest stages of his life with the full backing of his community.
Thank you for being part of Saverio’s journey.
