UPDATE:
8/15
Thanks to our fundraising we were able to take Zuki to the vet the very next morning and run all the tests the doctor recommended! Luckily, he has no additional illnesses contrary to what the doctors initially believed because of his symptoms — it’s truly a miracle.
We’ve lowered our goal and will now be collecting just for his vaccines!

STORY:
A few day’s ago, my friend and I found two tiny puppies wandering alone in the Redlands area. They were scared, hungry, and in desperate need of help. One of them, Zuki, was far sicker than his brother. I decided to foster and rehab him, but from the very beginning, we weren’t sure if he would make it.
When we first took Zuki to the vet, the doctor was concerned about his chances of survival. He was extremely weak, dehydrated, and suffering from multiple health issues. They immediately gave him IV fluids, medicine for roundworms, ear infection treatment, antidiarrheal and anti-nausea medication. Unfortunately, I could only afford to cover the very basics at that time.
Right now, Zuki urgently needs further testing and treatment. The vet believes he may have a parasitic disease, and he’s showing signs of severe anemia. His gums are completely white, which is a red flag for extreme dehydration and other dangerous conditions. The next step is to run blood and stool tests so we can diagnose exactly what’s wrong and get him the treatment he needs before it’s too late.
Despite everything he’s been through, Zuki’s spirit is incredible. He’s loving with everyone he meets, eager to learn, and unbelievably resilient. Caring for a sick puppy is twice the work, but it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
I’m reaching out to the community and fellow dog lovers to help me give Zuki the fighting chance he deserves. Every donation will go directly toward his medical care and recovery. No amount is too small — together, we can save Zuki’s life.
Please donate and share Zuki’s story. Your support can help turn his fight for survival into a story of hope and healing.
