****Update January 2nd****

Zoe is making progress! They drained a lot of fluid off of her lungs, and the X-rays look good. She is also eating and drinking some. As of right now, it looks like she has some cerebral damage or swelling as one side of her face still has some paralysis. There is no spinal damage, so that is really good considering she was hit by a train. The doctor is hoping that she continues to improve enough that they can amputate the leg soon. I went and saw Zoe today and she wagged her tail at me and even licked my hand. Her owners also came to visit her and she even sat up for them. She was so excited to see them! Zoe still isn't out of the woods yet and her vet bill is adding up. We appreciate each and everyone of you who have given to Zoe. Please continue to share her story, so that she can possibly get more donations for her vet services. She is definitely a miracle, and there is a reason that she lived through trains passing over her for 2 days. ***Update January 1st***

Zoe is at Poplar View Pet Hospital in Memphis. She has pneumothorax (air leaking from her lung into her chest cavity) from the impact. Dr. Nick is admitting her to remove the air in chest, put her on IV fluids, and give her 12-48 hours to rest and take deep breaths and see if inflammation goes down. The blood work came back good. X-ray's showed Zoe currently has some central nervous system issues, but because of all of the other stuff, he doesn't know what is causing the nervous system issues at this moment. After the 48 hours, he will look to see if she is improving and eventually can have leg amputated. Please continue to pray for her and the owners. The owners have already spent so much money trying to find her and the vet's office yesterday. They had posted her picture and information all over social media trying to get the word out. Some evil person took her photos and photoshopped them into different scenes saying they had seen her. They paid someone posing as a Drone Pet Recovery company several hundred dollars and it was a scam! The whole time she was lying between the railroad tracks. My name is Beverly Bailey, and my husband rescued a dog from the railroad tracks that had been hit by a train. It's a golden retriever and is very sweet. The poor thing had been laying in the middle of the tracks for two days. Steven had originally thought the dog was dead. He later went back and found that the dog was alive. One of its paws has been cut off. It might be blind in the eye on the side where it was struck by the train. We were able to locate the owners. They came and picked her up, and took her to the vet's office. They have quoted $7, 870. They are heartbroken as they can not afford this much money. All money will be given straight to the vet's office. The dog's name is Zoe.
