Help Zero Walk Again – Our Playful “Cat-Dog” Needs Surgery!

Donation protected
Hi everyone, my name is Ali, and I need your help for my best buddy, Zero.

Zero isn’t just any dog—he’s a 5 ½-month-old Akita with the heart of a cat. He grew up surrounded by feline siblings, and somewhere along the way, he decided he was one of them. He pounces instead of walks, perches instead of sits, and—unfortunately—he recently learned the hard way that he cannot land like a cat.

While following one of his cat brothers onto the counter, Zero took a misstep and suffered a devastating fall, breaking his femur. Now, he’s facing a long road to recovery, and his surgery to repair the break is estimated to cost between $6,000 and $7,000—far beyond what I can manage after just moving into a new apartment.

The only other options given by the vet? Amputating his leg or confining him to a kennel for months while hoping it heals on its own. Neither of these feel like fair choices for a puppy so full of life and energy.

I refuse to take away my baby’s ability to run, play, and be his silly, cat-like self. But I can’t do it alone. If you can find it in your heart to contribute—any amount at all—it would mean the world to me, and Zero would shower you in endless love and tail wags.

Even if you can’t donate, sharing this with others would be a huge help. Thank you for your kindness, your generosity, and for helping my little “cat-dog” get back on his feet.

With love and gratitude,
Ali & Zero
