My worst fear as a touring musician has been realized. All of my cats fell extremely ill last week and I’m thousands of miles away from home, unable to be there with them or afford treatment out of pocket. Two of them have been steadily recovering, but my little girl Yue has been hit really hard.

Whatever made them sick initially caused them to stop eating, drinking, and using the bathroom, as well as frequent vomiting, lethargy, and loss of mobility/equilibrium. Yue has not regained her appetite and has been unable to bounce back. She was born blind and may be genetically susceptible to conditions that other cats could normally fight off. Since getting sick, she has lost around 50% of her body weight and is currently experiencing kidney failure and triaditis (inflammation of the pancreas and liver). She responded well to stabilizing treatment at the emergency vet so we are hopeful that she can recover with more aggressive treatment targeted at her specific needs followed by long term care, but she needs emergency treatment immediately and they can’t guarantee they’ll be able to save her. But at her primary care vet today, Raine got her to eat a treat and she was walking around and rubbing all up on her, which is more than she’s given us in days, and it seems like she’s trying to show us she wants to fight. She is only four years old and full of so much personality and love. We’re not willing to give up on her until she tells us to, and the thought of my little girl not being there waiting for me when I get home is unbearable.

Any amount helps, as we have no idea how far we’ll have to take her treatment or if the other cats are going to need medical care besides routine examinations as well. Please help us try to save my Yue.
