Would you like to join me in helping raise £100k for York Railway Institute in their 100th Year to help the iconic and unique venue continue to be the home for local badminton clubs and national badminton competitions for 100 more years?

I will be completing a 12hr swim at Vobster Quarry near Bath on 20th September at the official 3Six12 Sundowner Endurance Swim Challenge to raise money for the charity.

All proceeds from the Swim will go towards the York RI Charity to help save the venue before the clock runs out in April 2027 when the venue will need to be vacated or purchased to give back to the local community and the national badminton community for 100+ more years

Players from the Avon Badminton Family have been playing in this badminton hall for decades at The 17-21 ECC Tournament, Junior Circuit tournaments, National Senior circuit tournaments and The Masters Circuit. The venue is special and steeped in history, listed by many players as one of their favourite venues to play badminton.

At a time when venues for badminton are under threat from many different challenges we simply can't afford to lose a venue like York RI when there is an opportunity for it to be saved.
