Are you able to help save our precious St Mary's cathedral?

This is one of the many ways we are trying to raise funds to carry out the urgent repairs needed to repair the nave floor and make the cathedral more sustainable by replacing the outdated and inefficient heating and lighting systems.

Over many years, generations of parishioners have been welcomed into faith at St Mary's, through baptism, making their First Holy Communion and Confirmation or happily celebrating their marriage. We have ordained priests, deacons and bishops here and many of us have said our goodbyes to loved ones.

The congregation is constantly growing and changing; there are many who return at Easter and Christmas. We embrace and welcome parishioners from all over the world, sharing our faith and supporting each other at difficult times. We also invite and welcome an increasing number of visitors who come to admire the beautiful architecture, stained glass windows, icons and relic of our local saint, Richard Gwyn.

Completing the renovations will ensure the cathedral is a safe, warm and comfortable place of prayer and sanctuary now and for future generations. We have exciting cultural and heritage projects planned to encourage further interest in the cathedral and to make it accessible to the wider community.
