Between Feb. 7th - 8th, 2026, we had 6 cats die within hours of falling sick. They were healthy, young cats who were fine hours before dying horribly. Attempts to get to an emergency vet were futile, and one cat passed away during a telehealth vet call. A 7th cat - Wolfie (a.k.a. Woofy) fell sick on the morning of the 9th, but as it's Monday, we were able to get him into our vet. With intensive treatments, he will likely pull through despite having a fever of 106° and zero white blood cells. We were able to rule out FIV, FeLV, allergens, and toxins and get all of his medications, but testing for FPV and FIP are very high cost. These tests are not necessary to save Wolfie, but it could prevent our remaining cats from getting sick and help us treat Wolfie and any other cats that may become ill. We really appreciate any help toward being able to do these last two tests. I'll include photos of the estimates for tests and another round of treatment for Wolfie. Thank you so much for reading this.
