I am creating this fundraiser for myself and my daughter, Winter Estrella, as we face a heartbreaking medical journey together. Winter is only 2 months old and needs any help we can get. She was born with a heart defect that does not pump enough oxygen to her body, and she also has an extra membrane tissue that causes irregular heartbeats. She has been in the NICU level 4 at Rady Children’s Hospital since she was a day old. Watching my baby go through something so serious from the very beginning of life has been overwhelming, and I am doing everything I can to make sure she gets the care and treatment she needs. Every appointment brings both hope and fear, and the urgency of her condition weighs heavily on our family every single day.

Our pain is even deeper because 3 years ago, we lost our 14-year-old son after he was taken from us. That loss changed our lives forever, and we are carrying that grief while fighting with everything we have to save Winter. We do not want to lose another child. The support from this fundraiser will help with medical bills, gas, travel, and treatment costs so I can focus on being there for her through every step of this fight.
