Help Save Wilby: Urgent Surgery Needed

I’m reaching out to ask for your support for my dear friends, Emmy and Em, and their beloved dog, Wilby. Since Friday, Wilby's health has taken a drastic turn for the worse. Initially, the vet performed an X-ray and sent him home, but when his condition continued to decline, Emmy brought him back and persistently requested an ultrasound.

The results of the ultrasound broke our hearts: there is fluid in Wilby’s abdomen caused by a perforation in his small intestine, along with a foreign object lodged within the intestinal wall. In retrospect, it was clear that a foreign object was visible on the X-ray, but we are now faced with the urgent reality that Wilby needs immediate surgery, and the costs are overwhelming.

If Wilby doesn’t receive this life-saving surgery, he has no chance of survival. Emmy and Em are ready to go into significant debt to save him because he means the world to them. Despite this grave situation, we remain hopeful; Wilby is an otherwise healthy, middle-aged dog, and if the surgery goes well, we believe he can recover.
