On August 27, 2025, this Sarasota County Commissioners approved Item 10 (A-D) finding that an unsolicited proposal from the ‘Economic Stimulus Working Group’ satisfied F.S. §336.71, amended the CIP to create Project No. 95892, moved $15 million from River Road claiming "evacuation route" and approved a PPP (Public, Private, Partnership) agreement with developer Pat Neal.

Florida Statutes §336.01–.10 require that any county road be lawfully established and that affected property owners receive notice and opportunity to be heard.

No formal acceptance of East Manasota Beach Road, as a public road has ever been recorded and residents with deeded ingress/egress rights were never notified or compensated. (NOT THAT WE WILL ACCEPT COMPENSATION).

Our Mission:

*Stop: Our findings show Pat Neal's influence with SCG needs to be

stopped!

*Stop: SCG BCC from siding with the developers. We sign their pay checks!

*Save: The PROTECTED Wetlands, vast amounts of PROTECTED Gopher Tortoises, Bob Cats, Deer, Bald Eagle & other wildlife, Sandhill Cranes, and several have spotted a ENDANGERED Florida Panther.

*Stop: Flooding. Long time residents including elderly, nearly lost there homes, animals due to flooding of recent hurricanes and over development. More roads will adversely impact the conditions. The County heard the residents and ignored them - other than asking Neal to look into it.

*Sorry: Promises to new residents for Beach Access were false.

*Stop: Increasing traffic by approx. 22k cars onto 776 from E Manasota Beach Rd. which is already dangerous. It already is a deathtrap now!

*Stop: Noise pollution / Light pollution.

*Stop: Negative impact to real estate.

*Stop: Manasota and Englewood Beaches cannot handle the increase! Currently, insufficient parking as it is & we don't want parking garages as some suggest.

*Stop: PPP - cannot be used for Private Benefit!

*Stop: Additional development on the East end of MBR.

*Failure: Incomplete Evacuation Route of River Road - FL Dept. Of Transportion funds.

*Return: $ to River Road!

*Help contribute to attorney fees, every dollar counts
