We are in a race against time to save our cat Walter

Walter is our 15–20 year old kitty cat and he means everything to us. He went missing Friday night, which is completely unlike him. When he finally came home Saturday around 10pm, he was covered in burrs, terrified, and badly hurt.

While cleaning him up, we found a bite wound.

Since then, he’s been getting worse. He’s now severely dehydrated and refusing to eat. We were able to scrape together $165 just to get him seen by the vet, but we’ve been told that if he doesn’t start eating within 24 hours, we may have to euthanize him simply because we cannot afford the hospitalization and surgery that he desperately needs.

We are absolutely heartbroken. He’s been with us for so long and we are not ready to give up on him.

We started a GoFundMe to try to save his life. If we can raise enough for fluids, medication, and his surgery to lance the wound, he still has a chance.
