Our family is urgently asking for help to save Vixen, a sweet 3-year-old Rottweiler who means the world to my Dad. Vixen has just been diagnosed with pyometra, a severe and life-threatening infection of the uterus that requires immediate emergency surgery. Without treatment, this condition can quickly become fatal.

My Dad lives on a fixed income and simply doesn’t have the means to afford the unexpected cost of this lifesaving procedure. Vixen is his constant companion — his best friend, protector, and daily source of love and comfort. She’s still so young, full of life, and deserves the chance to keep sharing her big heart with the people who love her most.

We’ve been told that surgery needs to happen as soon as possible to give her the best chance of survival. The total cost, including surgery, hospitalization, and follow-up care, is beyond what my dad can manage alone. We were quoted 6k but thankfully the Peterborough Humane Society offers a much more affordable option.

We’re humbly asking for any contribution, big or small, to help cover the cost of Vixen’s surgery and recovery. Every dollar truly makes a difference and brings us one step closer to saving her life.
