Violet, also known as Tap Magic, is an 18-year-old gray mare with Secretariat in her bloodline. She is a living piece of racing history, and her story is both remarkable and heartbreaking. Despite her achievements and pedigree, Violet now finds herself in a kill pen in Eaton, Colorado, facing an uncertain and dangerous future.

I don’t know how Violet ended up in this situation, but if she isn’t rescued soon, she will be shipped to slaughter. The urgency is real—her life depends on swift action. Violet’s legacy deserves to be honored, not ended in tragedy. She has given so much and deserves a second chance to live out her days in safety and comfort.

Funds raised will cover her bail from the kill pen, quarantine, hauling, health checks, and Coggins testing.
