Dear Family, Friends and Kind Hearted Supporters,

Our Dad (Jack) is fighting for his life against gastric adenocarcinoma (stomach cancer), and we're turning to the generosity of this community to help him receive the critical care he needs.

In Dad’s case, the Canadian healthcare system unfortunately failed him. After discovering he had stomach cancer following a stomach ulcer, the system did little to act quickly and decisively.

Despite multiple hospital admissions, blood transfusions, and a dire prognosis of just 2-6 weeks to live, the bureaucracy and inefficiencies of the system prevented him from getting the treatment he desperately needed.

Faced with this unacceptable outcome, we made the difficult decision to seek treatment overseas. We immediately booked a flight to Thailand so our Dad could receive immediate care at the renowned Siriraj Hospital. Since arriving here, he has undergone a successful bypass surgery and the doctors have been able to address the ruptured tumour found on his liver.

As one can imagine, the cost of this lifesaving overseas treatment is enormous. We're looking at tens of thousands of dollars in medical bills, as well as travel and living expenses. This is a financial burden my family cannot bear alone.

If you know our Dad, you’d agree he’d always be the first to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. That's why we're reaching out to all of you.
