I want to share the story of a very special little family and reach out to fellow animal lovers who might be able to help, whether through a small donation or by simply sharing this story.

This story was shared with me by someone who has been quietly trying to help a traumatised mum dog living on the streets. Born around 15 months ago on their road, she was part of the local stray population. After a few months, she vanished, and sadly, during that time, her own mother passed away.

When she finally returned months later, she was no longer the same. It was obvious she had been mistreated. She was fearful, skittish, and deeply mistrusting. Despite this, she lingered near the same street she was born on, finding just enough courage to take food from the hand of the person who tried endlessly to gain her trust.

But before that trust could fully form, her worst fear became reality, the dog came into season and became pregnant.

She gave birth right outside their home.

Now, while still dealing with her own fear and trauma, she is doing her best to protect and care for her puppies. This little family didn’t ask to be born into a life of struggle and fear. They deserve safety, warmth, and love.

Thankfully, a kind-hearted local rescuer has stepped in and is taking on the enormous task of getting this mum and her pups to safety, but they can’t do it alone.
