Help save two abandoned puppies with Parvo – One is fighting for her life.
Two adorable puppies were left to fend for themselves, alone in a park. When I found them, brother and sister, they were hungry, cold, and lost, looking for shelter. A neighbor confirmed they were abandoned the night before. They called Dallas Animal Services, who will take three days and is always overcapacity. I wasn't going to leave them on their own on my watch.
I took them home, determined to give them a second chance. Luckily, a friend of mine saw my IG post and fell in love with the boy. He's being showered with love, treats, and gets lots of attention. Everything was going according to plan until heartbreak hit fast! The sister tested positive for Parvo, a deadly virus that attacks young pups. She’s weak, hasn't eaten or drank anything in 24 hours, showing all symptoms of Parvo, and fighting to hold on. Without urgent treatment, she wouldn’t have made it. Delroy, the brother, was taken to the vet and also tested positive but is not showing symptoms yet.
Right now, the vet is doing everything they can to save Nala, the sister, with the help of Cody's Friends Rescue. She’s receiving emergency care, but as we all know, vet bills aren't cheap. Her brother is also being closely monitored and receiving treatment.
This is the 19th abandoned dog I rescued in my area. I live near a park that connects to a large open field. Considering the situation, I thought this would be the right time to ask for donations. Every dollar makes a difference. Whether it’s $5 or $50, your support will help cover their medical treatment, medication, and any additional care these sweet puppies need. If you feel called to help, this is a small yet incredibly impactful way to get involved. Any extra funds will be donated to the amazing local dog rescue (Cody's Friends Rescue) I foster with, so other abandoned animals can get a second chance too.
These puppies didn’t deserve to be left behind. Together, we can show them kindness, love, and the future they deserve.
Sharing is just as helpful as donating. Thank you for being part of their rescue.
Edit: Final Vet bill: $2,700
