A call from a neighbor reporting a bloodied dog found on the side of the road had me rush to meet them, and this is where I met Tux. His leg was dangling and swinging with an obvious catastrophic injury, and after a few different attempts I was able to get him in my car, and we headed to our wonderful vet’s office. We worked to stabilize Tux from about 11:30pm until 1:30am, getting sedatives, pain management, and antibiotics on board, as well as an IV to replace lost blood.

it is likely this poor dog will need to have the leg amputated, as it is absolutely shattered, and the bill is expected to be in the thousands of dollars.

This sweet guy, left for dead on the side of the road, deserves a chance. Together, we can pull together and get him the medical attention he needs to survive and recover from this tragic injury.
