Hello, I’m Saamy.
At 20, I’ve already taken on responsibilities that most my age haven’t. I balance full-time work with a full college load, not out of ambition alone, but out of necessity. I live with and support my elderly parents. The weight of this responsibility is often heavy, but love, dedication, and the joy of our tiny family member, Tutu, keep me going.
Tutu is more than just a pet. She’s our 3-pound Chihuahua that has been with me since I was in the 4th grade. She’s witnessed my highs and lows, and she’s been the light in our household, especially during the darkest times. But recently, our world came crashing down.
One seemingly ordinary day, as I stood by Tutu while she was out for her potty break, a coyote attacked her right in front of me. My heart stopped as I saw my little beacon of hope being brutalized by nature’s unpredictability. Her tiny frame stood no chance against the predator, resulting in 8 heart-wrenching bite wounds and 8 broken ribs. The trauma was so severe that it tore across her stomach lining.
The emergency vets did their best to stabilize her, but she requires immediate surgery to stand a chance at survival. The cost of this surgery is overwhelming, especially considering my current financial responsibilities.
Upon chasing my dad also fell and broke his shoulder.
I’m reaching out, heart in hand, to ask for your support. Every penny will go toward giving Tutu the chance she deserves to recover and once again light up our world. Any little thing, from a share to a donation, truly helps and is deeply appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story, and thank you for your kindness. Together, we can bring hope back to our family.
