Help Save Toothless — Emergency Veterinary Care

My name is Gwenyn, and I’m fundraising to save my beloved cat, Toothless. He is a sweet, loving boy who suddenly developed labored breathing this morning. I rushed him to Bridgetown Veterinary ER in Tigard, Oregon, where they discovered dangerous fluid in his chest cavity and confirmed he is in extreme respiratory distress.

Toothless required an emergency chest tap to help him breathe, and he is now hospitalized for several days on oxygen and diuretics while the fluid is tested. He’s requiring more diagnostics to get to the bottom of what’s going on. His doctors are working hard to stabilize him, but the cost of his care is overwhelming.

The estimate for just his hospitalization and life-saving treatment is $6,853. Then he’ll need costly follow up care after he’s stable. I’ve already paid $1000 for just the ER exam and trying to find a way to make the other $6,800, maxing out credit cards but I can’t manage these costs on my own. I’m already struggling with significant medical expenses of my own due to a heart condition. Covering both my own healthcare and Toothless’s emergency has stretched me far beyond what I can handle alone.
