Hi, my name is Chris.
I’m an aspiring astronomer, currently applying for grad school to pursue my PhD this will be my third year applying. In the meantime, I tutor elementary students and help them grow their confidence in math.
I’m reaching out because my cat, Tommy, urgently needs medical care. He has an abdominal hernia and may also have a collapsed lung. At first, the vet misdiagnosed him with dental issues, and I already spent $2,000 on tests before the real problem was discovered. Now, before surgery can even be planned, Tommy needs a CT scan to determine the best treatment.
As a tutor, I don’t work full-time during the summer and most of my savings have already gone into his medical tests. I won’t return to regular work until late September, and I still need help covering the costs of his CT scan and the surgery that will follow. So far, I’ve raised about $1,500 from friends and family, but I still need support to reach the total.
Tommy has a hard time eating and has started to lose weight. In just the last three weeks, he’s lost half a pound, and he was already underweight at only 9 lbs. I need to get him surgery as soon as possible before his condition worsens.
Any amount you can give will make a huge difference and mean the world to me and Tommy. I’ll share regular updates, pictures, and videos so you can see the impact of your generosity firsthand.
I recently updated the campaign goal to $10,000 to cover both the $4,000 CT scan and his surgery. My hope is to raise enough to get him the care he needs as soon as possible because I don’t know how much longer he can hold on.
Thank you so much for reading our story and for considering helping us in this difficult time.
