Titan is an 8-year-old Black Labrador and our best friend. He loves hiking—he’s explored 30 states!—and is a big mush who can fit three tennis balls in his mouth at once. Titan lives with his mom Kim, me, Kristina, and his fur siblings. When I was temporarily paralyzed, Titan was an integral part of my recovery, helping me walk and performing other service tasks. He has such a big heart, and we are all devastated by his recent diagnosis.

Just a few days ago, Titan was diagnosed with Round cell Lymphoma. He spent two days in the ICU, where doctors performed pericardiocentesis to drain fluid from around his heart and abdominocentesis to remove fluid from his stomach. The doctors have done several X-rays and sent the drained fluid for testing to confirm his diagnosis. We are committed to doing everything we can to give Titan a fighting chance and to give back the love and loyalty he has shown us.

Yesterday, after reviewing the results, the oncology team recommended a CT scan and biopsies of his liver and spleen to determine the best course of treatment. These tests are crucial to find out if surgery, radiation, or chemotherapy will help Titan. The costs have already exceeded $5,000 and are more than we can handle alone, and we are asking for help.
