Help Save Tired Girl Apparel

I started Tired Girl Apparel in 2022 on my bedroom floor, and since then it’s become so much bigger than I ever thought it could. TGA is now a worldwide brand helping to bring awareness to chronic illnesses, disabilities and mental health struggles.

As you may know, TGA is a very small operation. Each item is made to order and completely custom to you, meaning we keep our clothing waste to an absolute minimum and only use what we need. This also means that we’re working 13 hour days everyday to try and keep up with orders as they fly in, and even pulling all nighters around Christmas to get everything done. Being such a small business team-wise means that we do absolutely everything ourselves from production, customer service, fulfilment, designing, marketing… the list goes on.

We have the opportunity to outsource our USA production to a USA based company who have been brilliant in helping us get set-up. This means that 40% of our orders will now be completed and shipped by this team in a matter of days, while also removing the expensive shipping and customs fees!

However, despite this - things have been super tough. It’s incredibly difficult as a small business these days with competitors like Amazon, Shein, Temu etc who copy our designs and can ship orders instantly. It’s like a constant battle trying to keep the small business side of the internet alive. I’ve seen so many small businesses close recently and it’s so heartbreaking. TGA has been close to this over the past year but I know how much it means to so many of you, which is why I’m being a big brave girl and asking for your help.

Your support will help us get out of a financial hole we’ve fallen into after a tough year of trying to keep our heads above water, trusting the wrong people, making mistakes and learning SO much that I thought I already knew. It will also help us keep going and expand TGA to be even bigger and better, with new products, quicker processing times and more fun but awareness-raising designs.

In the 4 and a half years of TGA, I’ve never once asked for help and this feels so out of my comfort zone but if we can just get ourselves into a better position then that means we can catch up with orders, outsource where possible, bring out an exciting new range that I’ve been working on since May, and so much more. I have so many things I want to do for TGA but it’s just a case of surviving to be able to do so.

Please don’t feel like you HAVE to support, I know the cost of living crisis etc makes things incredibly difficult right now and I never want anyone to feel like they have to support us if it’s not affordable. Any support in any format is GREATLY appreciated, whether that’s supporting financially or just sharing TGA with people, or liking our posts or leaving a comment.
