Tilly isn’t just my cat — she is my whole world, my companion, and a huge part of my life. Right now, she is critically unwell and fighting for his life.
Recently, Tilly became severely dehydrated and extremely poorly. After rushing her to the vets, they discovered she has a chest infection along with a dangerously high white blood cell count. So far, I have already paid £300 for emergency blood tests, IV fluids to rehydrate her, and antibiotics. Sadly, despite treatment, Tilly has not improved.
While at the vets, Tilly suffered a seizure, which was absolutely heartbreaking. Today, (28.02.26) she is being admitted back to the vets because she is still struggling to breathe.
Tilly has now attended a vets appointment and, sadly, the news wasn’t what we hoped for. After Tilly had an ultrasound and further scans, the vets discovered a significant amount of fluid around her heart, along with an abnormal mass that is affecting how her heart beats. There is also a small amount of fluid around her lungs. This was another cost on top of the £300 and is now up at £500, this including Tilly staying in the vets for 2 days, the IV drip, scans and antibiotics. The scans have now been sent to a specialist so we can get a clearer diagnosis. At this stage, it may be a heart infection, but in the worst-case scenario it could be a heart tumour. For now whilst we wait for the results Tilly is on two lots of heart medication twice a day and antibiotics, this is to help her heart beat stronger on its own.
We are doing everything we can to give Tilly the care she needs and deserves. She means the world to me, and it’s heartbreaking to see her struggling. Any support, no matter how small, will help us give Tilly the best chance at recovery and ease her suffering.
I am devastated and feeling helpless because the cost of further tests and treatment is more than I can afford alone. However, I will do absolutely everything I can to give Tilly the chance he deserves.
I am hoping to raise around £600 to help cover the urgent veterinary costs, including diagnostic tests, treatment, and care he desperately needs right now.
Tilly is such a loving, gentle, and special boy who means everything to me. Seeing him in pain is unbearable, and I just want to give him every possible chance to recover.
Any donation, no matter how small, would mean the world to me and would go directly towards Tilly’s medical care. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser would help more than you know.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read Tilly’s story and for any support you can give. Any of the remaining funds will be donated to a Animal Charity.
