Help Thor Get the Surgery He Needs – Urgent Veterinary Care

Hello everyone,

I'm reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for our beloved dog Thor, who recently developed a worrying lump on his paw. After an urgent veterinary visit, we were told that it appears to be a type of cyst, but the vet won’t know for sure what it is until it’s surgically removed and sent for further analysis.

Although Thor doesn’t seem to be in pain — he still walks normally and remains cheerful — the lump has recently burst open, causing bleeding and discharge. Thor keeps licking the area, which makes it harder to heal and increases the risk of infection. This kind of open wound needs urgent surgical removal and treatment to prevent further complications.

The cost of the surgery alone is £1,330, not including the initial medication (£110) and post-operative care, which will require more medication, antiseptics, wound management, and follow-up vet visits. Altogether, we are facing a bill of around £1,700, which we simply can’t afford on our own.

Thor is the sweetest, most loving dog — gentle, loyal, and a true part of our family. Even with this painful-looking lump, he’s been trusting, calm, and as affectionate as ever. We just want to give him the chance to live comfortably and without risk of infection or pain.
