A recent emergency surgery was needed to remove a serious lump from a dog’s paw. The lump had burst open, causing bleeding and discharge, and there was a high risk of infection. The operation was performed as quickly as possible to prevent complications and relieve discomfort.
Although the surgery is now complete, there are still significant costs that need to be covered. The procedure itself cost £1,330, with an additional £110 spent on pre-operative medication. Post-surgery care involves further medications, antiseptics, wound treatment, and follow-up vet visits – bringing the total cost to around £1,700.
Unfortunately, no pet insurance provider agreed to cover the treatment, so all expenses are being paid out of pocket. Every donation – no matter how small – would help to ease this financial burden and ensure proper recovery and follow-up care.
