Hi everyone. This is a sweet pup we found in the woods in Northern Florida, which looks to have been out in the wild for over 2 weeks. He hung out with us all weekend while we were up at our friend’s cabin and was the friendliest most loving dog. We just got back home, and unfortunately, no one could keep him. A girl from Jacksonville Beach saw my post the other day and drove down the same day to pick him up. She took him to the vet yesterday and just got the news that he unfortunately has been diagnosed with heartworm disease, which can be very expensive. The vets say it can be anywhere from $1,000-$6,000.
