Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out with an urgent plea to help save the life of a dog I found wandering my neighborhood. She was clearly in pain and distress, with one of her eyes missing and bleeding. It was heartbreaking to see.

Before I could get her to safety, Animal Control picked her up. When I called to check on her, I was told she would be euthanized within 24 hours due to her injuries — unless someone could step up to take responsibility for her care.

I couldn’t let that happen.

I picked her up immediately, and now she’s safe with me. She is currently at Amelia Grace Animal Hospital in Clayton NC. Her eye wound needs to be properly treated, and she’ll need to be assessed for any other injuries, infections, or underlying issues. She’s in pain, but she’s gentle, sweet, and trusting — even after everything she’s been through. I currently have our goal at 2k but it could end up increasing, which I will update if need be.

I’m committed to helping her recover and finding her a forever home once she’s healed. But I can’t do it alone. Her vet care is going to be expensive, and I wasn’t expecting to take on this responsibility — but I also couldn’t walk away.
